
B.J. Schumacher started riding at age nine and has competed in every event in rodeo throughout high school. He won the High School Rodeo Finals in bareback in 1999 and was the Reserve All-Around Champion. B.J. credits his father for teaching him how to ride, but says it was his college coach at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas who made the difference.
B.J. Schumacher was The PRCA World Champion Bull Rider in 2006. Following up with 8 wins in 2007, including the $50,000 Shoot-out at Rodeo Houston, B.J. ended the year fourth in the world. In 2008, he finished in 5th place and enters the 2009 WNFR in the 11th position for 2009. This talented 25 year old from Hillsboro, Wisconsin is looking forward to the opportunity to move up in the standings when he hits Las Vegas in December.
